Matt Hibbard is an American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Known for his knack of churning out sophisticated pop compositions with a rare ability of connecting with a diverse audience, his unique production and sonic craftsmanship has been compared to the likes of Jack Antonoff, Mac DeMarco, Beck and Tame Impala.
Originally from Denton, Texas, with over 15 years serving as a record producer, mix engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, he operates from his full-service recording studio.
In 2021, he started his autonomous project with the critically successful single "Love Is Our Crown", while further following up with commercially successful singles "See the Light", "Don't Drag Yourself Down", "The Good From the Bad" and "Love in the Color Red".
On October 27, 2022, Matt released his debut LP "Vol. 1" to critical and commercial acclaim.
2023 ushered in the release of singles "Perfect", "Get Down" and "Hanging on the Phone" as a precursor to his second solo record.
On October 27, 2023, Matt released his highly anticipated sophomore album "the szn".
Matt is also known as a founding member of the indie rock band Relick with his music in award winning films including Lea Thompson's "The Year of Spectacular Men" (Motion Picture Soundtrack) and global television adverts featuring the band's critically successful music.
