Matt Hibbard is an American songwriter,  multi-instrumentalist and record producer residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for his knack of churning out sophisticated pop compositions with a rare ability of connecting with a diverse audience, his unique production and sonic craftsmanship has been compared to the likes of Jack Antonoff, Mac DeMarco, Beck and Tame Impala.

Originally from Denton, Texas, with over 17 years serving as a record producer,  songwriter, mix engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, he operates from his full-service recording studio in Nashville.

In 2021, he started his autonomous project with the commercially and critically successful single "Love Is Our Crown", while further following up with hit singles "See the Light", "Don't Drag Yourself  Down", "The Good From the Bad" and "Love in the Color Red".

On October 27, 2022, Matt released his self-produced debut LP "Vol. 1" to critical and commercial acclaim, recorded at his studio in Dallas, Texas.

2023 ushered in the release of singles "Perfect", "Get Down" and "Hanging on the Phone" as a precursor to his second solo record. Matt relocated his recording studio to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in late 2022 with the sole purpose of writing, recording and self-producing his next album. It proved the  perfect breeding ground to cut his next record; converting an entire house into his private recording studio. Seven months later, the album was completed.

After visiting New York City for an extended time, as well as Nashville for inspiration for writing songs including "The Fire", "The Reason", "Coney Island", "Hanging On the Phone", and the title track "the szn", the remaining songs on the album were written in Tulsa.

On October 27, 2023, Matt released his highly anticipated sophomore album "the szn" to commercial and critical acclaim.

The end of 2023 saw a more permanent shift to Nashville, Tennessee. In 2024, "The Hero", debuted. 2025 has seen the release of singles "Got a Little Feeling", "Breathe" and "coney Island-roxur.sox", to commercial and critical acclaim.

Matt is also known as a founding member, producer, songwriter, and multi-Instrumentalist of the Dallas based indie rock band Relick, with his music premiered by prestigious outlets including Paste Magazine. Although Matt Hibbard and Amber Nicholson were the sole writers, producers and primary multi-instrumentalists in the studio and on Relick albums, they had a rotating cast of rhythm section players for live shows, including Anthony Corsaro, Andy Rogers, Mike Luzecky and Matt Young.

Relick's music has also been featured in award winning films including Lea  Thompson's "The Year of Spectacular Men" (Motion Picture Soundtrack),  premiering at the 2017 Los Angeles Film Festival, and global television adverts featuring the band's critically successful music.
